The Council is so proud of all the efforts you’ve made to make sure the District is the Top Recycling Authority in the Country!

With a recycling rate last year of 65.79%, the Council topped the table above every other local authority in England.

The recycling team would like to say a massive ‘Thank You’ to everyone who has helped by recycling as much as possible.

The team also want to help you so we can try and stay top of the league and maintain our position as the best Recycling Authority in the Country for as long as possible.

Rochford’s recycling team are always on hand to provide advice and information about which items can be recycled and composted, not only in the bins provided to households, but also in the recycling banks located around the
District, including the new bank in Back Lane, Rochford for small electrical items such as kettles and toasters.

In addition, Essex Textiles work in partnership with the Council to provide a textiles, shoes and books collection from the kerbside on recycling collection day.

They also provide a ‘Call and Collect’ service so you can arrange a specific date and time for a collection.
